  • Nevada AG Aaron Ford: Attorney General Ford Sues HHS, Sec. Kennedy to Overturn Public Health Grant Cuts

    CARSON CITY — Today, Attorney General Aaron D. Ford joined a coalition of 23 states and the District of Columbia in filing a lawsuitRequest Document Remediation - lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., for abruptly and illegally terminating nearly $12 billion in critical public health grants to the states. If this funding were terminated, local public health authorities and the Nevada State Public Health Laboratory would lose a total of $35 million. In addition, this funding cut would impact the Renown Crisis Stabilization Center in Northern Nevada, as well as other nonprofit and university partners.

  • New York AG Letitia James: Attorney General James Announces 638 Guns Turned in at Syracuse Gun Buyback

    NEW YORK – New York Attorney General Letitia James today announced that 638 firearms were turned in at a community gun buyback event in Syracuse hosted by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), the New York State Police, and the Syracuse Police Department. This event was part of Attorney General James’ ongoing effort to combat gun violence and keep New Yorkers safe. To date, Attorney General James has removed more than 9,000 guns from New York state since taking office in 2019.

  • Vermont AG Charity Clark: Attorney General Clark Co-Leads 39 States and Territories Asking Congress to Prohibit Pharmacy Benefit Managers from Owning or Operating Pharmacies

    VERMONT - Attorney General Charity Clark today led, along with Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin, Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell, and Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, a coalition of 39 state and territory attorneys general in formally urging congressional leadership to pass an act that would prohibit pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) from owning or operating pharmacies.

  • New Jersey AG Matthew Platkin: Attorney General Platkin Co-Leads Multistate Effort to Protect Affordable Care Act From Attack

    TRENTON – Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin, along with the Attorneys General of California and Massachusetts, co-led a multistate letter regarding a raft of proposed changes that would undermine the Affordable Care Act (ACA), making it more difficult and expensive for individuals to enroll in health coverage on federal and state exchanges.

  • Illinois AG Kwame Raoul: Attorney General Raoul leads coalition urging court to block Tennessee law criminalizing assistance to youth for out of state abortion care

    CHICAGO – Attorney General Kwame Raoul today led a coalition of 20 attorneys general in filing an amicus brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit in a lawsuit challenging a restrictive Tennessee law making it a crime for adults to help minors seek reproductive health care outside of Tennessee due to that state’s near-total abortion ban.
